Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Life's Journey Inc. is a publicly funded agency seeking highly ethical, engaged volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors. Board members are responsible for maintaining the commitment to Life's Journey's mission, establishing strategic direction, oversight of operations. Board Members are expected to participate in committee activities and attend meetings as required.
Skills Required: We are seeking several individuals with the following skills and experience, those that are bolded represent our priorities for this recruitment:
- Previous board governance experience
- Leadership/senior management experience
- Financial accounting and/or audit skills
- Human resources/labour relations experience
- Legal/regulatory knowledge - contracts, defense and/or labour
- Government lobby/policy impacts
- Not-for-profit sector experience
- Fundraising/charitable donations experience
- Indigenous Community
- Experience/knowledge of the needs of Persons affected by Neuro-Diversities (including lived experience)

Skills Gained/Related Careers: Mission Statement: To support the pursuit of balance between spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional wellbeing by individuals with neuro-diversities, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, along with their families and communities.
