Roles and Responsibilities

Do you enjoy building strong online personas that closely align with the ethical and professional values of the individual or brand identity that you represent? We are looking for a talented, experienced, and passionate Social Media Manager to join our team. The Social Media Manager will manage our organizations' image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. As our Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. You will be working closely with the Marketing and Sales departments.

Social media is an ever-evolving networking space where updates help build perceptions and reputations. As a non-profit, we need to stay active, always engaged, and involved with our community through all major platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok, and adapting content to suit different channels
Design and implement social media strategy to align with organizational goals
Suggesting ideas for new and engaging content that is in line with the content pillars
Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (e.g., original text, photos, videos, and news)
Identifying cross-promotion and engagement activities with other accounts, partners, and trends
Collaborate with other teams to ensure brand consistency
Communicate with followers and partners and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
Oversee social media accounts' design and layout
Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency
Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice, and terminology
Supervise all aspects of social media interactions between the public and the organization to ensure a positive experience
Form relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
Skills Required: Preferred Qualities:

Strong insight into behavior, attitude, and persona of the individual/brand that you represent
Perpetual desire to learn and grow with the organization
Skills Gained/Related Careers: This individual will be working with a lot of confidential information and as such, must have a strong ethical code. We will absolutely need at least 2 references for this position. We'd also like for this person to join us for a term of 1 year. So, it would help to have answers to questions like whether or not, they anticipate change to their current life/working situation for the next 12 months, Or, Whether or not, they are comfortable committing to 1 year of volunteering project.
