Description of Duties: **** Please be aware that this is an unpaid volunteer position for interested applicants resident within Canada ****

You will be responsible for:

Identifying and developing new potential funding stream

Exploring different avenues and platforms to fundraise. Identifying potential donors and creating a plan for approaching them.

Researching and applying for grants, supporting grant proposals, and reports when needed.

Development, Planning, and Strategy

Building and managing an operative fundraising team.
Working with the CEO to develop annual fundraising plan, budget, and goals.
Inspiring and supporting the team so the annual fundraising targets are met.
Leading the development of any long-term strategy to achieve long term organizational goals.
Maintaining an updated fundraising plan including planned outreach, collected and anticipated revenue, and lead development.
Ensuring all licensing and other legal reporting requirements are met.
Planning and executing 1-2 large fundraising events per year.
Creating a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors.
Skills Required: Skills & Competencies:

· Event planning experience, with proposal writing and institutional donors

· Ability to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks to meet specific deadlines, and readjust priorities as changes happen

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to write clear, structured, and persuasive proposals quickly to meet internal and external deadlines

· Solid organizational skills including attention to detail.

· Ability to interpret complex grant funding requirements, submissions, and budget projections

· Excellent communication and representative skills, showing proficiency in drafting solicitation emails, writing grants, and communicating extensively with organization staff and potential partners

· Ability to build a team, motivate and inspire others

· A strong work ethic
Skills Gained/Related Careers: Bachelor's (Preferred)

· Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
