Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: In addition to being a member of the Board of Directors, the Secretary is also a member of the Executive Committee. The Secretary provides administrative and clerical support to the Board, through the collection and sharing of information directly related to its activities. Ensures the Board is well informed and that activities are documented in an accurate and timely fashion. Must be well-equipped to record accurate minutes of meetings and be aware and sensitive to any special or confidential information discussed at meetings.

Duties Include:
- Preparing preliminary agenda for meetings with the assistance of the President
- Attends all executive, board or other meetings or arranges for a designate
-Records attendance, non-attendance, or regrets of board members & records minutes of all meetings
- Prepares copies of minutes within 7 days and distributes to board members
- Arranges a committee to review the constitution for amendments to be presented at the Annual General Meeting
and more.

You will have a seat on our board which in turn gives you a voice on how the club moves forward. Please consider joining our dynamic group as we continue to grow and improve our club and our programs.
Skills Required: Must have strong organizational, listening, and communicational skills. Having a personable/approachable personality is an asset.
Skills Gained/Related Careers: Collaborating within a group dynamic and holding a board of directors seat. Develop networking and leadership skills. Navigate through applications and contracts. Work with civic leaders and politicians.
Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment:
Hours are varied.
