Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Our mission at KIDS Initiative is to focus on helping to facilitate sustainable solutions in developing countries to enrich the lives of children. We can only focus on doing so when our team on the ground are driven, passionate, and innovative. We focus on developing genuine and impactful relationships with those we work with, which allows us to work cohesively as a team. We look to recruit a diverse group of individuals willing to dedicate their time to our mission and help to grow our organization into an efficient machine whose goal is to strive for a world where everyone lives more and suffers less.
In supporting the KIDS Initiative organization through a voluntary role, you adopt and exude the following characteristics:

KIDS Initiative operates as a full functioning WORKING BOARD. A working board consists of board members who do the work of the organization. This includes administrative tasks, fundraising, accounting, grant writing, event planning, marketing, and communications, etc. It is important to note that KIDS Initiative does not operate as a governing board where members would simply oversee and guide its activities.
The board consists of no more than 12 members and no less than 3. New Officers (Executive positions) shall be chosen at the AGM of this organization, and they shall serve for a minimum term of 2 years and a maximum term of 4 years. Vacant Officer (Executive) positions can be voted in by quorum outside of the AGM. Each Officer (Executive) shall lead a committee role and utilize volunteers as need be in order to fulfill their responsibilities.
Directors of the organization shall serve a minimum of a 2-year term with the opportunity for renewal at the AGM. The President position held by the Founder of the organization will maintain its role permanently on the board unless a vote of 75%+1 is approved to have the member removed when sufficient cause exists for such removal.
The Vice President of the Board of Directors shall:
preside at all meetings;
in the event of the absence or inability of the President to exercise his/her office duties, become acting President of KIDS with all the rights, privileges, and powers as if he/she had been the duly elected President.
Skills Required: Responsibilities:
-Coordinate regular meetings with committee leads to manage and gauge progress of all committee members
-Coordinate regular meetings with the President to communicate operations of all committees

Must participate in Monthly Board meetings Use of BaseCamp is used and is mandatory to maintain communications.
