Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Objective:
- Provide customer service support to ensure all visitors to the building have the information they require.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Welcome and greet visitors to the building
- Complete screening toolkit for visitors and maintain contact tracing spreadsheet
- Sanitize reception area regularly
- Direct all in-person inquiries and deliveries to the appropriate person, department, or tenant
- Prepare outgoing mail and book local couriers on behalf of staff
- Provide visitors with information as required, if no other staff person is available
- Receive and track attendee responses for events as required
- Direct in-person donors to Coordinator, Team Operations
- Assist with mail outs as needed (folding, stuffing, labeling, mailing)
- Track and report volunteer hours as directed
Skills Required: - Some experience in customer service an asset
- Demonstrated computer skills and competence with standard computer tools associated with business and project management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including word, outlook email and excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to relate effectively with people at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with difficult situations or individuals
- Reliable, organized and able to work with minimal supervision
- Minimum 18 years old
- Job training and orientation to organization will be provided including sighted guide training

- Develop or use existing experience and skills in customer service and administration
Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime
- Minimum 6 month commitment Current shifts available: - Full day Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Wednesdays 10:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. - Thursdays 10:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. - Fridays 10:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. - Available at least 1 day per week, every week; preference to candidates willing to do multiple shifts per week. - Flexibility to work more days per week if required
