Artist for Environmental Website

Organization Details
Organization Name: Saving Audio Recycling
Address: Winnipeg MB
Organizational Description: Saving Audio is a completely volunteer run environmental group whose goal is to preserve unwanted or inoperable audio electronics items and keep them in re-use, rather than being recycled.

Items we receive are tested for operation and assessed for viability or parts purposes. The parts components are retained to potentially get other non-working items functional again. Working items are then freely given to locally created and operated non-profits to assist them with continuing in their community social functions.

Any items considered non-repairable are donated to the e-waste program of Equal Opportunities West, an employment agency for the developmentally disabled.

We are looking for driver volunteers who can pick up and drop off small e-waste loads from time to time, perhaps twice a month.

We also require advocates for our organization; individuals who can inform members of the general populace that there is a different e-waste option available to them.

(We don't have a website as no volunteer has yet been found to construct one.)

Description of Duties: Artist will be required to draw easily recognizable images of electronic hardware objects (such as turntables, amplifiers, speakers) which will be integral to the descriptive theme of our website, as well as creating other thematic elements which aid in tying the look of the website together. Those interested in this work should possess the ability to create hand drawn sketches either on physical media and then digitize it, or create works directly to computer via a drawing program like Adobe Indesign. We can also provide real world photo examples of the activity our organizations' events to incorporate this into the artwork as necessary.
