Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Participate in steering committee activities related to planning and overseeing the development of a maintenance pulmonary rehabilitation program for people living with a chronic lung disease or condition.
Skills Required: From the perspective of someone living with a chronic lung health issue or a caregiver of same:
participate constructively in a planning meeting environment
computer video conference participation
contribute to program options, structure and roll-out
evaluation of program options, structure and roll-out
Skills Gained/Related Careers: fitness and/or active living
living with chronic lung disease
planning
evaluation
project management
previous participant in a primary pulmonary rehabilitation program preferred
Age: 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime
meeting would be up to 90 minutes, primarily by computer video conference. initially meetings may be bi weekly then become less frequent as work progresses.
