Organizational Description: The mandate of the College of Paramedics of Manitoba is to regulate the profession of Paramedicine in the Province of Manitoba, through protection of the public interest. We do this by fulfilling the legislated mandate and authority granted to the College, as part of the Regulated Health Professions Act.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Members of the Public are vital to the College meeting its mandate to protect the public interest. Volunteers are sought to apply for membership as a public representative on the Complaints Investigative committee, the Inquiry committee, or the Finance, Audit and Risk committee of the College of Paramedics of Manitoba.
Skills Required: One or more of these roles may be a good fit for you if you are:
Able to carry out the role in a manner that serves the public interest above all else.
Have some flexibility in your schedule to attend day-time or evening meetings.
Able to arrange for your own transportation.
Provide evidence of good character if a public member.
Able to serve for a minimum of two years.
Honorariums and expenses are provided for.
