Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: The Street Census is Winnipeg's Point-in-Time Count: a survey used to gather info on homelessness by communities across Canada and around the world. The Street Census takes a one-day snapshot of homelessness. This contributes to a national picture, advances local knowledge, and helps identify service needs, so that policies and programs can be more effective in preventing and ending homelessness. Be part of the volunteer team for Winnipeg's Street Census on April 8, 2020!
Skills Required: Volunteers do not have to have experience working with people who are experiencing homelessness, though this is an asset. We are looking for volunteers who have strong English communication skills, are good listeners and are non-judgmental.
