Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Committee members plan the Brain Tumour Walk from the kick-off to the wrap-up. Some committee members focus on recruiting volunteers and securing sponsorships. Others focus on event logistics and find ways to enhance the event experience. All new members will be welcomed by the current committee and supported by staff.

Skills Gained/Related Careers: Committee members will participate in a dynamic planning process with a team of volunteers while supporting people with brain tumours and their families. Members will meet new people while enhancing their personal and professional skills.
Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening, Weekend
Committee planning for the walk begins in January up until the Winnipeg Walk on Saturday June 27th. Committee members may need to attend meetings and the weeks leading up to the walk will be busier. Members should expect to volunteer 5-15 hours a month.
