Organizational Description: Chantiers jeunesse is a non-profit organization created in 1980 that offers volunteer programs for youth ages 15 to 30. Our mission is to promote youth engagement in communities and we encourage youth of all backgrounds to apply.

Our programs include 2 to 3 week volunteer projects in Canada as well as abroad, funding and support for entrepreneurship projects and longer term individual placements. Our projects in Canada have all fees covered such as accommodation, meals and transportation. In addition, we provide orientation weekends as well as follow-up and professional development opportunities for participants after their projects.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Live and work in a community to help them carry out a specific project. Tasks may include manual labour (landscaping, painting, construction) or group facilitation (social activities with children or the elderly). All expenses are covered, including travel, accommodation, food and activities. We have multiple projects accross Canada.
Skills Required: Just your motivation and willingness to learn and meet new people!
Skills Gained/Related Careers: Leadership and interpersonal skills, manual labour, project management, budgeting.
Age: 17 and under, 18-30
Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening, Weekend
Our group volunteer camps are from 2 to 3 weeks in length. There are also individual placements available that range from 1 - 12 months.
