Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Dalnavert Museum is the former home of Sir Hugh John Macdonald, son of Sir John A. Macdonald, and his family. It was built in 1895 by architect Charles H. Wheeler and is one of the finest surviving examples of Queen Anne Revival architecture in Western Canada. Now a heritage house museum and modern Visitors' Centre, we invite visitors to "step back in time" to the Victorian Era.

Friends of Dalnavert Museum is seeking a volunteer to assist in coordinating our museum gift shop, located in the modern Visitors' Centre reception area. Under the direction of the Executive Director and Curator, the Gift Shop Coordinator will receive, price, and stock items; track merchandise; learn the cash register; liaise with local vendors to provide items on consignment; and provide assistance as we change over to a new cash system.
