Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: The Movement Centre of Manitoba is looking for a talented writer to generate engaging, original content that aligns with the Movement Centre's strategic goals. The writer will research topics and develop interesting articles that will appeal to our target audience. You should be a skilled writer who can create appealing, insightful posts that will reach and grow our audience.

You should be creative, adaptable, and analytical with excellent writing skills and a unique voice. Content will be published on our website, via Constant Contact, and circulated to our other platforms via our marketing team.

- Generating, researching and pitching ideas for posts
- Writing content relating to conductive education, client stories, the conditions conductive education helps with, neuroplasticity, etc. once a month.
Skills Required: - Flexible approach
- Excellent use of the English language
- Good proof-reading and sub-editing skills
- Creativity and adaptability, a questioning attitude, and an eye for detail
- Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills
- Ability to digest complex information and make it accessible in plain English
- A willingness to learn about conductive education, physical disabilities
- A passion for our mission
- Working towards or received a certificate, degree, or diploma in English, Writing/Creative Writing, Marketing, or similar (preferred).

Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening, Weekend
1-2 hours per week (depending on individual), commitment of 6 months. Volunteer must tour the facility to see the program taking place. Candidate will work remotely and set own schedule, meeting with Manager of Marketing (via telephone or in-person) as needed.
