Description of Duties: Our mission at KIDS Initiative is to focus on helping to facilitate sustainable solutions in developing countries to enrich the lives of children. We can only focus on doing so when our team on the ground are driven, passionate, and innovative. We focus on developing genuine and impactful relationships with those we work with, which allows us to work cohesively as a team. We look to recruit a diverse group of individuals willing to dedicate their time to our mission and help to grow our organization into an efficient machine whose goal is to strive for a world where everyone lives more and suffers less.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
KIDS Initiative operates as a full functioning WORKING BOARD. A working board consists of board members who do the work of the organization. This includes administrative tasks, fundraising, accounting, grant writing, event planning, marketing and communications, etc. It is important to note that KIDS Initiative does not operate as a governing board where members would simply oversee and guide its activities.

The board consists of no more than 12 members and no less than 3. New Officers (Executive positions) shall be chosen at the AGM of this organization and they shall serve for a minimum term of 2 years and a maximum term of 4 years. Vacant Officer (Executive) positions can be voted in by quorum outside of the AGM. Each Officer (Executive) shall lead a committee role and utilize volunteers as need be in order to fulfill their responsibilities.

Directors of the organization shall serve a minimum of a 2-year term with the opportunity for renewal at the AGM. The President position held by the Founder of the organization will maintain its role permanently on the board unless a vote of 75%+1 is approved to have the member removed when sufficient cause exists for such removal.

The purpose of the Event Planning & Fund Development Committee is to host KIDS Initiative's two annual events, recruit and help coordinate 3rd party events supporting the organization, building on fundraising campaigns, and to develop fund development programs such as; major gifts, tribute, bequests, etc.
Skills Required: Responsibilities:
-Oversee and manage all fundraising efforts
-Develop and structure a plan for growing major gifts/donors and bequest programs
-Develop and structure a plan for in memorium, tribute, birthday, anniversary, and holidays style donations with card recognition
-Develop a 3rd party fundraising platform, to include supporting materials/documents, promotion of fundraiser and management
-Develop a strategy with the Marketing & Communications committee around how to capitalize on the Giving Tuesday Campaign
-Manage and execute on KIDS Initiative's two annual events: Crossing Grains and Pairing Pints
-Build annual revenue and sponsor support
-Expand on event ticket sales and gain support with prize donations
-Develop new ideas to keep events fresh and exciting
-Coordinate regular team meetings (i.e. weekly, biweekly, monthly or as otherwise determined by lead) to manage and gauge progress of all committee members
-Monthly report to the board on all committee actions and goals
