Organizational Description: | Homeless and Injured Animal Rescue of Canada aka HIARC is a registered Non Profit Organization for animal rescue and we are dedicated to taking those animals who have been injured, abused, homeless, senior, surrendered and or forgotten and giving them a better life. We are a NO-KILL animal rescue. We hold our volunteers and fosters to a higher standard and truly believe that you are these animals best chance at life. HIARC relies on the hard work and compassion of volunteers to assist in the care. We call them volunteers, but to the animals, they are heroes. In every capacity they serve, volunteers are a highly valued resource to our society and are making a very real difference to the lives of so many animals. We work hand in hand with Manitoba communities, local organizations, Province and municipal government, animal control and the general public to improve animal welfare in Canada. Description of Duties: | Are you looking to make a big difference in the lives of animals living in extreme pain and close to be euthanized? If so, HIARC needs you! Homeless and Injured Animal Rescue of Canada, Inc. aka HIARC, a charity nonprofit organization is looking for a Grant Writer volunteer who is enthusiastic, passionate, organized, honest and self-motivated about seeking funds for charity. This individual will assist with grant writing, connecting and networking with local & nationwide businesses and increasing fundraising efforts. HIARC are seeking grant funding for a Shelter, Land, Supplies, Computers and Vehicle (Mini van, SUV). We are a 100% volunteer run animal rescue based in Manitoba, Canada and a NO-KILL animal rescue. Grant Writer Coordinator will... * Prepare the necessary documents in order to apply for grants. * Assist with grant writing, connecting and networking with local and nationwide businesses, and increasing fundraising efforts. * Responsibilities of the grant writer is to research grants that our organization are eligible for, and apply for said grants online. * Creation and publication of all marketing material. * Preparing online and print marketing campaigns * Any other duties as required |
