Description of Duties: Mental Health Program - Skills Workshop Assistant

At the Y, we are committed to fostering the growth and development of people not just in body - but in mind and spirit as well. Our Mental Health Learning and Leisure program is designed to provide adults who have experienced mental illness a natural social setting for recreation.

We are looking for experienced volunteers who want to give back to the community by helping our participants grow in a supportive environment.

How you will help!
Assist in delivering skill development workshops
Build strong relationships with participants
Actively engage participants in conversation and activities
Prepare program space
Skills Required: Are you the right fit?
Caring, compassionate, patient and understanding
Knowledge/experience with mental health recovery
Experience developing or delivering interactive workshops
Able to support individuals from diverse backgrounds
