Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: The goal of the philanthropy team is to stabilize and develop a pipeline of loyal donors who become annual and lifetime contributors to the Canadian Cancer Society, making a difference in the lives of people living with cancer by funding the life-saving work of the organization.
This role will support the work of the regional Philanthropy team through comprehensive data entry and maintenance across various customer relationship management (CRM) platforms and software.
-Create, update and maintain constituent records for donors and prospects in appropriate CRM
-Track and record donor and prospect actions and interactions with the organization (relationship updates, donations and gifts, meetings, phone calls, campaign involvement, etc.)
-Upload and attach appropriate offline files and documents to constituent profile
-Ensure donor and prospect data is clean and functional by duplicating constituent records, identifying and inputting incomplete data fields, updating contact information, and performing other data maintenance tasks regularly
- Pull donor and prospect reports from appropriate CRM, as requested
-Cross reference and input data across multiple platforms and maintain electronic filing system for documents and files, as needed
-Assist with specific projects, depending on regional calendar of events and stewardship activities, as assigned
-General office duties including filing, photocopying, scanning
-Adhere to all Canadian Cancer Society policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
Skills Required: -Strong computer and proficient typing skills
-Accurate, with strong attention to detail
-Experience with and working knowledge of Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or another CRM an asset
-Ability to multitask and comfortable with repetitive task
-Able to work independently and as part of a team
-Reliable and self-motivated
