Organizational Description: The MS Society provides services to people with multiple sclerosis and their families and funds research to find the cause and cure for this disease. We have a membership of 17,000 and are the only national voluntary organization in Canada that supports both MS research and services. Since our founding in 1948, the core support of the MS Society has been from tens of thousands of dedicated individuals, companies and foundations in communities across Canada. The Society receives almost no funding from government.

The MS Society is governed by a board of directors comprised of 14 volunteer members who are elected annually. There are seven regional divisions and more than 90 chapters that engage in many community-based activities.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: The MS Bike Tour is coming to YOUR COMMUNITY September 7th and 8th. We are looking for volunteers to help make the MS Bike Riding Mountain Challenge event a success!

There are a variety of roles available to match the interests, skills and abilities of any individual. Some tasks we need assistance with include set up, tear down, photography, food service, traffic marshaling, rest stops and sign in.

Please note that this event takes place in the Riding Mountain area including Dauphin and Clear Lake. You must be able to travel to and from the event site.
Skills Required: Friendly volunteers with a passion for making a difference in the MS community are needed!
Skills Gained/Related Careers:
Age: 17 and under, 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening, Weekend
Times vary depending on the role and your availability. Shifts available on Thursday, September 5, Friday, September 6th, Saturday, September 7th, and Sunday, September 8th.
