Organizational Description: The Learning Disabilities Association of Manitoba (LDAM) provides information, referral, and support for individuals with learning disabilities (LD) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), their families and the professionals who work with them. LDAM is a United Way supported agency that also receives grants and carries out fundraising activities to help fulfill our mission. LDAM's vision is to help people impacted by learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders to reach their goals and live better lives.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: We are looking for a talented social media fan to create and maintain a strong online presence for our organization. Your role is to implement online marketing strategies through social media accounts.
If you are a tech-savvy professional with an interest in communicating with clients through online channels, we would like to meet you.

Researching audience preferences and discover current trends
Creating engaging text, image and video content
Designing posts to sustain readers' curiosity and creating buzz around current and new programming
Skills Required: Proven work experience as with social media
Expertise in multiple social media platforms
In-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
Excellent communication skills
Multitasking and analytical skills
Skills Gained/Related Careers:
Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening, Weekend
2 - 4 hours a week
