Organizational Description: The Brandon Festival of the Arts Inc. is a non-profit cultural organization based in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. With the help of dedicated volunteers and supporters, the Festival runs for approximately four weeks in February and March of each year. Participants including dancers, speech artists, instrumentalists, vocalists and choirs, are given the opportunity to develop and improve their performance skills. Evaluations, coaching, and workshops are provided by professional adjudicators drawn from across Canada and the United States.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Board Members: President of the BFA Board chairs meetings and secures adjudicators. Patrons Chair approves outgoing patron request letters and thank you letters. Admissions Chair organizes all Admission Desks volunteers and cash boxes throughout the four weeks of the Festival. Trophies Chair organizes the awarding of the 57 trophies at 3 Awards Nghts.
Skills Required: NO skills required! A love of the arts and community is the only requirement.

The BFA Board meets monthly from Sept to May for two yours every third Monday of the month.
