Organizational Description: Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is responsible for administering Non-Public Property (NPP) on behalf of the Chief of the Defence Staff and for delivering selected public morale and welfare programs, services, and activities to eligible members and their families on behalf of the Chief of Military Personnel.

With over 5,000 Staff of the Non-Public Funds, Canadian Forces employees on bases, wings, units, and at headquarters in Ottawa, CFMWS operates with a fundamental principle in mind: the customer comes first. In partnership with bases, wings, and units, we ensure that our customers, the CAF Regular and Reserve Force members, retired and former CAF members, military families, Department of National Defence employees, NPF employees, and RCMP personnel, receive the morale and welfare programs, services, and activities they deserve.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Volunteer opportunity to participate at the Support Our Troops booth.
Support Our Troops is a benefactor of the Royal Canadian Air Force Run, hosted at 17 Wing Winnipeg Sunday 24 May 2020.
Support Our Troops is looking for four (4) volunteers to spend some time at the Support Our Troops table to hand out promotional items, support an interactive photo booth and to interact with the participants and community members attending the event.
Skills Required: Outgoing, able to communicate well with others, work as a team, ability to stand for extended period of time. Must provide a current Police Records Check.
Skills Gained/Related Careers: This volunteer opportunity will offer skills in special events, community engagement, fundraising and communication.
Age: 17 and under, 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime, Weekend
Time commitment will be for 3-5 hours on Sunday 24 May 2020, 17 Wing Winnipeg with the Support Our Troops members that will be on site.
