Organizational Description: The Manitoba Association for Rights and Liberties promotes respect for and observance of fundamental human rights and civil liberties, and to defend, extend and foster the recognition and understanding of these rights and liberties, on a non-profit basis, in the Province of Manitoba by engaging in public education;reviewing legislation and administrative procedures and recommending changes to ensure that said legislation and procedures are consistent with the basic principles of civil liberties and human rights; and researching rights and liberties issues and making recommendations for possible action;


(iii) engaging in any other activity consistent with the general objectives and available resources of the Association.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: -Engage in MARL's fundraising committee by attending committee meetings
-Makes a commitment to participate in events and initiatives outlined by the fundraising committee and MARL as a whole
-Stays informed about committee matters
-Brainstorming, developing, implementing and evaluating fundraising events and initiatives
Skills Required: -Training or education in fundraising is an asset, but not required
-Previous fundraising experience
-Excellent organizational and communication skills.
-Ability to multi-task and project management experience
-Previous experience in a non-profit environment.
