Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Job Overview: The Beer & Beverage manager is an integral role in the success of the Beer & Beverage area at the Pride Winnipeg Forks Festival. In this role you are responsible to oversee a team of approximately 35+ volunteers and ensure timely bar service to and monitor over-service of patrons.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage 35+ volunteer including Servers, Bartenders, Bar Backs, and Ticket Sales
- Ensure prompt, safe and friendly service is provided to all patrons
- Monitor over-service of patrons and work with security as needed
- Maintain refrigerator truck inventory, track all supplies in and out
- To ensure the Beer & Beverage area stays clean and organized
- Ensure washroom area is maintained
- Ensure all volunteers take breaks and get meals and stay hydrated
- Work with security as needed to remove disruptive patrons
Skills Required: Qualifications:
- Serving it Safe Certification required
- Previous management experience required
- Previous bar experience considered an asset
- Ability to remain calm and manage others in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work as and lead a team

Position Expectations: Mandatory
- Attend 4 scheduled Festival Grounds Management Meetings
- Attend Volunteer Orientation
- Available Friday - Monday on Pride Closing Weekend
- Optional: to attend Pride Winnipeg regularly scheduled meetings
