Organizational Description: The BBB Education Foundation of Manitoba is a non-profit charitable organization that focuses on the pressing need for an honest, ethical future workforce and community to continue the BBB's work of cultivating an honest and transparent current workplace. It is the first in the country to offer youth a certification program on ethical decision-making. The LIFT Business Ethics Certification Program is a short course module being delivered to middle school, high school, post-secondary school, individuals, youth and non-profit organizations and workforce. The workshop offers an introduction to business ethics as well as personal character lessons.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: In collaboration with the BBB Foundation, the volunteer facilitator position will deliver the half-day LIFT Business Ethics Certification Program -Business category. Develop and maintain a positive outcome with the participants; Be well-versed in the workshop content and prepared to lead the students in meaningful conversation. Manage time for each activity to endure all components are completed in the time allocated; Engage participants through personal stories and examples; Treat participants with respect and guide them to respect each other; Be aware and sensitive to the diversity of backgrounds that participants may come from; Evaluate each participants eligibility for certification based on project rubric; provide feedback to BBB Foundation to ensure continued improvement of program.
Skills Required: Previous training experience, Effective verbal communication skills; leadership skills; ability to lead participants and think creatively; an appropriate level of ethics acumen; reliability and responsiveness; ability to assume the essential responsibilities of the position.

Time Commitment: Daytime
- 1-hour facilitator training which includes how to work with participants - 2x LIFT program every month; workshop presentation is 4 hours(half-day).
