Volunteer Opportunity Details | |
Description of Duties: | Volunteers are needed for the week of March 15 - 24, 2019 as follows: Street Sale Volunteers - sell flowers at various retail locations Daffodil Driver - deliver flowers to businesses and retirement residences Daffodil Runner - coordinate delivery of flowers and supplies to street sale volunteers |
Skills Required: | - A positive, enthusiastic attitude - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as a member of the team - Ability to handle cash in a responsible and safe manner |
Skills Gained/Related Careers: | - Opportunity to share your time and skills - Enhance existing skills and learn new ones - Build connections and be a part of a community - Opportunity to support those whose lives have been touched by cancer - Give back to the community and make a difference |
Age: | 17 and under, 18-30, 31-54, 55+ |
Time Commitment: | Daytime, Evening, Weekend Street Sale Volunteers are required for 3-4 hour shifts. Volunteers are encouraged to suggest a friend or family member join them but will be paired with another volunteer if volunteering solo. Daffodil Drivers are required Monday to Friday from 9 am - 12 pm. Daffodil Runners are required Thursday to Saturday. |
