Reaching the 55,000 Canadians affected by a brain tumour is the mission of Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and critical to this, is awareness about support, information, education and research.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Day of Volunteers will help the Walk committee with day of logistics, such as registration, walk routes, food management and more. Most importantly, volunteers celebrate, motivate and encourage all walk participants. Day of volunteers are always welcome and it is never too late to join.
Skills Required: Volunteers should be able to work well on a team and in large groups. Those who are self motivating, organized and enthusiastic will excel.
Skills Gained/Related Careers: You will get to work with a team of amazing volunteers while supporting people with brain tumours and their families. It is also an opportunity to meet new people while enhancing your personal and professional skills.
Age: 17 and under, 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime
Day of Volunteers will meet at the park early Saturday morning and will finish up once the walk and clean up are complete that afternoon.
