Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: -Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and execute a cohesive social media strategy that supports our business and social media objectives
-Create a social media publishing schedule
-Provide advice and counsel to the Executive Director on recommended social media channels. In collaboration with the Executive Director, update and create accounts and profiles
-Provide input and feedback into website development (content, 'look and feel', etc.) during the development phase of the new site.
-Create and curate content tailored to each channel (Blog, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc., including visual / graphic content (photos, etc).
-Serve as final "point of contact" for all published content to ensure messaging is on-target and relevant to social media strategy
-Track and report relevant metrics (Analytics, Facebook metrics, etc) to monitor engagement successes
Skills Required: -In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and how each platform is best used to communicate our "message"
-Team player with the confidence to take the lead (i.e. content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)
-Proven work experience in the field of social media
-Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
-Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
Skills Gained/Related Careers: Public relations, media training
