Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: In collaboration with the University of Manitoba, Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba offers a 6-session Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with Mindfulness Group, called the Turning Pages Program, geared toward adults ages 50-70 years who are experiencing challenges with life transitions. The group is offered on a quarterly basis. We are looking for retired health care professionals, ages 50+ who may be interested in volunteer facilitation for future groups.
Skills Required: Educational skills including the ability to verbally educate participants with the help of visual aids are required. Also
good communication and leadership skills are preferred.

Age: 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime
The program is offered on a quarterly basis. Each program offering consists fo 6 individual 2 hours sessions over the course of 6 weeks.
