Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: The Wheels of Hope Transportation program offers rides to treatment for those people who are currently living with cancer. This volunteer role will support the staff team in registering and booking cancer client requests for transportation to treatment.

-Answer client calls and screen potential clients for suitability

-Intake caller information to register new clients in a database

-Process client's registration fee

-Gather client information to book their transportation appointments

-Support the staff team in the data entry of multiple database systems

-Other administrative duties as needed

-Provide general information to the public regarding the Wheels of Hope Transportation Program
Skills Required: -Must be comfortable working on the phone

-Previous experience working in customer service, health services or volunteer engagement

-Intermediate level skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

-Comfortable working in a database
(specific training will be provided)

-Excellent attention to detail

-Comfortable working with individuals
experiencing health related stress

-Ability to interact with volunteers and staff in a team environment

Time Commitment: Daytime
Minimum 1 day per week (full or half day) Minimum 6 month commitment
