We do this by providing grants to partner organizations running these specific programs and by making strategic purchases to support the inner-city economy and employment. Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Assist LITE staff with administrative tasks including: office reception, filing documents, photocopying, checking mail and managing the general office email account, data entry, envelope stuffing, and other tasks as assigned.
Skills Required: Interest in gaining experience or training in business administration or currently enrolled in a training/college program

Interest in gaining experience with Giftworks or other database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software

Detail oriented and organized

Good interpersonal skills

Trustworthy and understands importance of confidential materials

Familiar with Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel)

Volunteers with entry-level and advanced experience are welcome to apply

Indigenous people and newcomers are encouraged to apply. Residents living in an inner city neighbourhood are encouraged to apply
Skills Gained/Related Careers: Experience working in a fast-paced (but friendly!) environment

Professional office experience to add to your résumé

Volunteers who complete 20 volunteer hours are eligible for a reference
Age: 17 and under, 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime
Various shifts and blocks of time available. Regular office hours preferred.
