Inspire Community Outreach Inc. is an incorporated non-profit social services agency working with youth in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in the hopes that they will find their passion and create connections that will last a life-time. Programming varies from drop-in, to 6-10 week sessions. We use a strengths-based approach in teaching skill building programs like mindfulness training, creative expression (including art, poetry, and music), cooking/nutrition, physical activity, and other positive coping strategies.

Mission: To support the mental health of youth and children

Vision: A Winnipeg where youth and children are mentally healthy, inspired to succeed in their chosen path, have skills to manage stress, and can cope with mental health problems and illnesses. A Winnipeg where parents and other caregivers can easily find and access the help their children and youth need to be mentally healthy.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Do you have Indigenous heritage? We value and honor being on treaty land, and the strength of the cultural history of the first Peoples. This will support our team to include this valuable lens.

-Communicate with community members to create awareness of Inspire
-Communicate and meet with other members on this committee approximately once every 6 weeks
-Review Inspire's programming, policies, etc. and provide Inspire staff with suggestions and feedback
-Share ideas with the Inspire team.

-Ability to work independently.
-Ability to maintain confidential or sensitive material.
