| Organizational Description: | Established as a community project and social service of Thrive aims to empower families and individuals by providing volunteer opportunities where individuals can learn employment, social and life skills and gain work experience! We work with newcomers, individuals overcoming mental health crisis as well as volunteers from various programs including disability programs,work experience programs, the Fine Options program, and volunteers doing court-mandated community service. Volunteers gain employment references, fulfill mandated court orders, obtain volunteer reward benefits from EIA, interact with the community and so much more. Our awesome volunteers help to support community needs and by doing this we can offer a valuable service by providing affordable clothing, toys, linens & household items. All of the proceeds benefit the programs at the Resource Centre. |

| Description of Duties: | Using the Thrive agency van... - Pick up donations (household and food items) from residences and local businesses with other volunteers and/or Thrive staff (license required)! - Provide kind and courteous manners while dealing with donors. - Aid in loading and unloading the agency van from donors homes and businesses to the resource center. |
