Description of Duties: ***If you need this position description in an alternative format, please contact us at 204.258.7048***

The St.Amant FM Café offers the individuals and families the opportunity to come together on Friday nights to enjoy a variety of live entertainment and build connections with one another. Generally, the event starts with an open mic session from 5:00pm - 5:30pm, which is then followed by 1-2 acts that take us right to 8:00pm. We currently host this event at St.Amant's 440 River Road location bi-weekly, but are looking to grow its success by integrating into additional community settings.

Provide friendly and welcoming atmosphere to all attendees. Assist with Registration and redirect them in appropriate directions.

After we receive a completed application form, we may ask you to come for an interview. Qualified applicants may be required to attend a second interview depending on placement. During the interview, you will be asked to provide two (2) references who are not Family Members.

Many of our placements require interactions with others; we ask our volunteers to be able to follow directions, give directions and to express themselves clearly and concisely in the English language. We have found a benchmark of Level 7 or higher works well for our volunteer placements in reading; writing; listening and speaking.

If a successful match is made between your skills and abilities, Volunteer Services will offer you a volunteer position. If you decide to accept the offer, we will discuss a start date with you after completing the orientation; completion of references checks and screening.

All volunteer placements are done through the volunteer office including reassignments.
