Connect For Synergy!

June 05, 2019
01:30 PM to 04:00 PM

A special event for volunteer engagement professionals in Manitoba

In our role as the volunteer centre of Manitoba, we connect with volunteer engagement professionals across Canada to share knowledge, practices and resources and we network with volunteer centres across the country to connect and collaborate.

In May, three staff from VM will be traveling to Ottawa for the week-long 2019 LiVE- Leaders in Volunteer Engagement Conference, and the Volunteer Centre Leadership Forum - hosted by members from the Professional Association of Volunteer Leaders-Ontario's (PAVRO), Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC) and Volunteer Canada.

Jackie, Dawn and Tracy will be participating in learning sessions, panel discussions, and also presenting to attendees of the event. They will explore trends, tools, and training designed to position and equip volunteer centres to provide leadership on volunteer engagement in local communities.

We want to take all the information and knowledge that our 3 staff will accumulate collectively at this event and bring it home to Manitoba. We also want to share with you feedback we have received from volunteer engagers from across the province, on what they find challenging when it comes to engaging volunteers, but also what successes they have achieved.

In short, we want to connect for synergy - to ensure that we can support and advocate for volunteer management professionals in Manitoba.

So please join us on June 5th for this special event designed to help support and engage with volunteer engagement professionals here in Manitoba!

A special thank you to Shaun Leonoff, Manager of Volunteer Resources at the Assiniboine Park Conservancy (and a member of VM's board) for her support of this event and for providing the venue.
