The Manitoba Voluntary Sector Initiative Research Collection (or
MVSI Collection) is an important component of the holdings of Volunteer
Manitoba. It is a collection of print materials, international in
scope, pertaining to the relationship of the voluntary sector with
government, business, and labour.
The MVSI Collection presently contains more than 600 catalogued items and may well be unique in Canada in the scope of its coverage. It provides an invaluable resource for research into vital issues concerning voluntarism worldwide.
A guide to the classification system is available in the Resource
Centre. Because of their value as research material, items from
the MVSI Colleciton are not available for circulation, and can be
consulted only on site at the Resource Centre.
