Gathering and Analyzing Focus Group Data
Focus groups are a common method of gathering feedback for needs assessments, program planning and/or evaluation.
This workshop will be presented in two parts. The first part will provide participants with practical information and tools for conducting focus groups. The approaches presented will improve the quality of data collection while supporting the use of ethically and culturally appropriate methods. The second part of the workshop will share strategies for analyzing and interpreting qualitative data and will provide tips for increasing the likelihood that the findings will be used. Participants will be provided with templates and tools that can be used in various settings.
