Volunteer Manitoba’s Training Department Values:

- All workshop participants are treated with respect and assured confidentiality with regard to discussions etc.;
- All materials are delivered in a positive and supportive environment with respect for what each individual brings to the group;
- Training is offered to voluntary sector agencies hand-in-hand with ongoing consultation and support from Volunteer Manitoba;

David Bosiak
Living in Dauphin, David is a firm supporter of community, volunteerism, recreation and health. He brings incredibly diverse experiences to his training sessions that include topics such as fundraising, engaging volunteers, major event planning, capital campaigns, business planning and community development.
Wendy Bulloch
The founder of Building Up in Brandon, Manitoba, Wendy believes in stimulating others to be innovative, creative and collaborative while embracing change. Building Up provides consultation and training services in the areas of leadership development, strategic planning, team building, mentoring, building community partnerships, dealing with change, conflict resolution, succession planning.
Judith Cameron
Judith, located in Gimli, MB, has over 15 years experience as both a Human Resources Consultant and as a Corporate trainer having delivered seminars and workshops on a number of topics including Board Roles and Responsibilities, Governance Methods, Team Building, Volunteer Recruitment and Effective Meeting Strategies.
David Carrick
David is a Privacy lawyer and Partner in the Winnipeg law firm of Aikins, MacAulay & Thorvaldson LLP. David has been practicing privacy law for over 5 years, and has made numerous presentations (many designed specifically for non-profit and voluntary organizations) regarding the Federal government's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and other privacy law matters.
Darlis Collinge
Knowing that learning is most effective when it is enjoyable, Darlis encourages participants to appreciate and increase their skills through laughter, fun exercises and a heart-centered approach. She uses her combined experiences as a community development practitioner and as the principle life coach of emPOWERment Coaching & Facilitation, to ensure insightful learning experiences.
Lois Coward
Lois, primary advisor of Cirrus Consulting, has experience instructing with Red River College. She has 10+ years experience in the fund development field through writing proposals, gaining corporate sponsorships, and development and managing special events. Lois focuses on education and training, advising and consultation for special events and fund development.
Nadine De Lisle
has over 20 years communications experience in both the private and public sectors. Writer, teacher, seminar leader and communications specialist, she's worked to develop and implement effective communications strategies in a broad spectrum of environments: from the arts to tele-communications, corporate to consumer affairs and retail to lifesciences.
  Tracy Douglass
Tracy Douglass specializes in the development of non-profit organizations and their human resources. Tracy has worked exclusively with non-profits as a volunteer, staff person and change agent. As a Human Resource Generalist, trainor, facilitator and consultant, Tracy has developed and implemented policies and procedures specifically focused on improving the effectiveness of the human resource management function.
Barb Gemmell
In September 2000, Barb established Gemmell Training & Consulting and has extensive experience in facilitating and consulting for organizations interested in maximizing the effectiveness of their volunteers. This includes 13 years with the Volunteer Centre of Winnipeg working with organizations of all sizes and structures within the province as well as nationally.
Donna Ghidoni
Donna has over 27 years experience in Organizational Development (O.D.) consulting, training and resource development in the public and non-profit sectors. Her experience includes training for MPI, MB Natural Resources and over 9 years as the Training and Resources Specialist for MB Culture, Heritage and Recreation working with professionals, boards, community leaders and volunteers.
Patricia Hardy
Pat is an exceptional facilitator and trainer experienced in several techniques including appreciative inquiry. She teaches fundraising courses and workshops for boards, fundraisers and executive directors; speaks regularly at international conferences and has consulted with and trained fundraisers around the world. Patricia has facilitated for Volunteer Manitoba since 2006
Ron Hayes
As owner and principal facilitator of a consulting firm, Centre for Professional Excellence, Ron specializes in Soft Skills training. He has extensive experience in the non-profit sector as a Board Member, Executive Director and facilitator of workshops, some of which include Strategic Planning, Effective Board Operations, Communications, Management Styles, and Conflict Management.
  Lesley Hughes
Broadcaster and humorist, Lesley talks about ideas that matter. Her commitment to global citizenship combined with an irreverent and engaging sense of humour has put Lesley in demand as a speaker and facilitator in Canada and abroad. In addition to her writing and broadcasting, she currently teaches writing, media & communications courses at the University of Winnipeg.
Nancy Kirk
Nancy, CGA, has over 16 years experience providing bookkeeping and accounting services to a variety of organizations from large corporations to small charitable agencies. Knowledgable and approachable, she is eager to share her expertise through contract work as well as instructing workshops. She has instructed over 10 workshops with Volunteer Manitoba with rave reviews.
Rolande Kirouac
Rolande Kirouac, owner of Spadrole has designed, developed and delivered workshops with specific strengths in leadership skills, teamwork building, facilitation and training for trainers. She now adds to her repertoire a variety of laughter services: a laughter club, laughter sessions and presentations that can be tailored to fit the client’s needs.

Lisa Lewis
As President of Beyond Excellence Inc., a management consulting firm, Lisa's knowledge of the challenges that people and employees are faced with is extensive, with many years of experience in working with government, associations and businesses of all sizes at all levels. With these skills and her outstanding abilities as a presenter, she is able to motivate and delivere value to organizations.

Judy Lister
Judy has worked in the field of volunteer administration since 1990 and has been a Certified Administrator of Volunteer Resources since 1999. She has coordinated volunteer programs for five different organizations, ranging vastly in size. She has taught courses in the Volunteer Management Certificate Program since 1998. She has been actively involved in both MAVA and CAVR.
John Longhurst
John is author of Making the News: An Essential Guide For Effective Media Relations (Novalis). He has directed communications for non-profit organizations for over 25 years, and has also worked as an editor and reporter. He presently directs Communications and Marketing for Canadian Mennonite University, and is a freelance columnist for the Faith Page of the Winnipeg Free Press.
  Rhonda Lorch
Rhonda is an independent human resources consultant specializing in helping organizations in the non-profit and voluntary sector manage their people resources, both paid and volunteer, more effectively. She holds a certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Manitoba. Currently she is an active member of the Manitoba Association for Volunteer Administration (MAVA).

Heather MacKenzie
Heather MacKenzie is a Registered Parliamentarian, specializing in running effective meetings, public consultation and bylaw review. She has acted as a professional parliamentarian and guest presider for provincial professional organizations as well as providing bylaw review for many organizations. Heather also has experience in alternative dispute resolution and mediation.

Alan McLauchlan
Living in The Pas, Manitoba, Alan also instructs for the University College of the North and Manitoba Tourism Education Council. Alan specializes in community involvement, volunteering, and community problem solving. Alan has lived in various northern communities as a former RCMP officer and used his position to encourage and promote community events.
Joyce Odidison
Joyce Odidison, M.A, is a Conflict Analyst, trained Mediator and (ADR) specialist and a certified Coach and Author. Joyce has spent the last 12 years helping organizations develop and implement Interpersonal Wellness SolutionsTM. These include a range of strategies to prevent, intervene and resolve highly positional diversity, cultural, systemic and intergenerational conflicts. 
DeWayne Osborn
DeWayne is the General Manager, Compliance Officer, and in-house expert on charitable and planned giving at Lawton Partners. He is a consultant and advisor on the complexities and tremendous financial and philanthropic benefits that can be achieved by applying tax-effective strategies for gifting real property, cash, securities, life insurance products, wills and bequests.
Liz Sousa
Liz has over 15 years experience performing in many capacities from facilitating staff training workshops to facilitating strategic planning sessions. Liz has worked extensively in employment, education and training programs throughout the north central region, specializing in non-profit board development and proposal writing topics.
Getty Stewart
Getty is President of Pursuit Communications, a training and development company. She is a highly effective and engaging facilitator with extensive knowledge and experience in proposal writing. She uses personal examples, exercises and participant questions to provide practical, relevant tips on writing winning proposals.
Shirley E. Tillett
As owner of Shirley Tillett Associates Inc., Shirley focuses over 20 years of corporate and non-profit senior management experience.
