ANNOUNCEMENTS

Farewell to Tracy Douglass, our Community Outreach Coordinator

It is with sadness that we announce Tracy Douglass will be leaving Volunteer Manitoba on December 3. After nearly four years of service to the Training Department, she will be moving on to MB Public Insurance as an Instructional Systems Design Consultant, continuing in the education field by designing their staff training. It has been an absolute pleasure having Tracy here. Through her work on various projects and programs, and the tremendous partnerships she has cultivated, she has been a large factor in the growth of Volunteer Manitoba. Tracy established new offerings such as our annual Funders Forum and the Executive Director Leadership Group, as well as being the faithful editor to our useful monthly ebulletin. Her tireless efforts have always been with an eye to meeting the needs of Manitoba communities and community agencies. We wish her success in her new venture.

Executive Sessions: How to Use Them Regularly & Wisely
An executive session — sometimes called a closed meeting or an in camera session — is a useful tool for protecting and advancing the best interests of an organization. Executive sessions provide a venue for handling issues that are best discussed in private, for fostering robust discourse, and for strengthening trust and communication.
