Youth
look for certain features in a volunteer activity. It
is important to incorporate these features into every
step of the Volunteer Development Cycle. The cycle has
the following steps:
Planning - Recruitment - Screening - Orientation &
Training - Supervision - Recognition
There are eight main features that youth look for in a
volunteer activity:

L egitimacy
E ase of access
eX perience
I ncentives
V ariety
O rganization
L aughs
