Peer Mediation and Facilitation Training for Youth

Organizers for YOUCAN's Resolve It! 2006 Conference are seeking potential youth co-trainers/facilitators. Training for those interested is being offered March 4 & 5. Those who complete the training but are not selected for the position of co-trainer/facilitator will be given an opportunity to volunteer at this Internation Youth Conference.

Youth Organizing to Understand Conflict and Advocate Non-Violence

International Youth Symposium - March 22 - 26, Winnipeg

Resolve It! The International Youth Symposium on Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution
The conference will involve youth from youth-serving agencies, schools, non-governmental organizations as well as federal, provincial, and territorial officials.

These symposiums help define best practices in the areas of conflict resolution, crime prevention and violence prevention for youth. Each participant becomes certified in one of YOUCAN's Peacebuilding Modules, as well as leaving with their own action plan to make a positive difference upon returning to their community.
