All sessions involve presentations, workshop activities, and opportunities for peer learning
Schedule:
March 30th (9am - 12) Personal Leadership and the Role of the Executive Director
Define the roles and responsibilities of your position, including leadership qualities you have and need to develop to move your organization forward. Learn techniques for information management and establishing priorities.
April 20th (9am - 12) Board Governance: Responsibilities of the Executive Director Related to the Board
Learn about people’s motivations and create a plan to apply these theories within your organization. Discuss appropriate staff supervision, feedback techniques and evaluation processes for improving performance.
May 4th (9am - 12) Human Resource Issues
In this session we will review the Employment Standards of Manitoba and how they affect your human resources. We will also discuss appropriate staff supervision, feedback techniques and evaluation processes for improving performance.
May 18th (9am - 12) Time Management and Planning
Apply strategies to improve your ability to multi-task and manage your time. Identify assertiveness techniques and personal supports to minimize stress and potential for burnout.
